Revelate Designs Yakataga Dry Pocket

Notify me when this product is available:

The idea is simple - a place to store stuff off your handlebars that is totally weather proof - as in submersible - should you flip in your packraft while portaging that fast moving glacial creek with your bike. Likewise, if the rain gods decide to give it their best for a week straight, you still stand a chance. We wanted to create a bag that could be used on the bike, but also be rigged to the deck of a packraft or other boat should you be so inclined. The Yakataga is the bikepacking worlds' first ever submersible handlebar bag for multi-sport bike adventures.

The concept for the Yakataga pocket was hatched on a fatbike expedition along Alaska's Lost Coast. Yakataga, the native name for "canoe road", refers to Cape Yakataga, a small community along the notoriously stormy Gulf coast of Alaska which is home to an airstrip, an abandoned cold war communications site, and is one of the only possible resupply points for many miles.

The Yakataga is designed to integrate with the Harness or Sweetroll and can be mounted standalone with the included straps. The sides of the bag are curved to contour around a handlebar roll or drybag. It has a carry handle and 4 seperate D-rings on the back panel for an array of off-bike rigging options. A simple shoulder strap is included for walkabouts or travel days.

The main compartment features an #8 TIZIP masterseal closure. These engineered closures create an airtight seal. Pull tabs along the bag facilitate opening and closing of the bag. Get crazy with it.
